Who we are / History:
Graham’s Spray Works and Auto Body Repairs started in 1952. This was the year that Manfred’s life took three major changes, moving to Paarl from Somerset West, getting married to Yvonne and starting his own business.
Prior to moving to Paarl, Manfred after leaving the SA Navy in 1947 started as an Apprentice Motor Mechanic working for Henry Morkel in Somerset West, but his passion lay in Panel Beating and soon changed his Apprenticeship to follow his dream, qualifying as a Panelbeater and Spray Painter in 1952,
Having settled in Paarl, Manfred started his business from a rented section of the building of Courtrai Motors in Southern Paarl from the late Mr. Eden Du Preez. The Establishment was first know as Courtrai Spray Works. Some years later in the late 60’s, when the opportunity arose Manfred with his wife Yvonne bought a piece of ground in Daljosafat, Northern – Paarl, where the current business exists and changed the businesses name to Graham’s Spray Works,
Some years later the business expanded and a second workshop was built in 1975. By this time Manfred, a well seasoned and successful entrepreneur brought the rest of the family to join the business with Hugh his son, who himself is a qualified Motor Mechanic and enjoyed motor racing as a sport, joined in 1989. In 1990 Alison, the daughter, joined the business as an Auditor,
Manfred himself was a Stock car driver and was Chairman of the Stock Car Club, Boland Hell Driver’s. He is a past President of the Drakenstein Rotary Club and was presented with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award,
Dedication, attending to detail and striving for customer satisfaction is the core of their business philosophy; Dedicated staff members work together towards the same common goal. With the combined effort of staff and management, Grahams is able to enjoy a trusted and excellent relationship with all major auto insurance companies in South Africa. Furthermore Graham’s is within the top 10 of Factory Approved Auto Body Repair centers and is listed on the majority of Insurance Companies panels,
Today Graham’s Spray Works c.c. reaps the benefits of their thoughtful and tactical business decisions taken over the years with strong customer satisfaction. Expansion is not a new word to Graham’s Spray Works c.c. In 2011 a new workshop was built for the Volkswagen and Audi Factory Approval. New expansion plans are underway which will see Graham’s Spray Works c.c. vehicle repair capacity increase,
With new challenges and exciting developments ahead, Mr. Morne Vermeulen has now joined the team as a Shareholder and Working partner. Morne, himself a Qualified Panel Beater and Spray Painter with extensive experience as a previous Assessor at Santam, joined the business 2013. The addition of Morne as a Shareholder together with, Manfred, Yvonne, Hugh and Alison will ensure the continuation of the excellent service and professional workmanship,
